Singapore Office User Group

i have Office 2007 beta, and i thought i had removed the office 2003 during installation. Apparently not...

so, this morning, i had done the latest Windows Updates, and there were also Word, Powerpoint and outlook 2003 updates...so thinking nothing of it, i proceeded, and after a reboot, the Outlook 2007 beta could not run, complaining of unmatched DLL or something...

Word and Powerpoint seem OK, only Outlook 2007 beta is affectd...

to make things worse, the installation discs are at home, and my colleagues who have their disc are not in office. i'm currently re-downloading the 440MB...:(  

i removed office 2003, office 2007 beta, activesync...

re-install office 2007 beta, and then activesync and re-establish the partnership ...

now's all well it seems...

Moral of the story - don't install different Office versions side by side on the same partition.

I use VPCs, lot safer.
